15 pages, including the cover. This pattern has been updated from the original with additional photos and more detailed directions.

Sized for Miyuki round seed beads, in either15/0 or 11/0 Miyuki round seed beads. Other brands of seed beads may not be the same dimensions or have a different length to width ratio which may distort the pattern. Cylinder beads like Delicas or Aikos will not work well and will greatly distort the shapes.

Pattern gives you the option of making the iris in a single main color, two main colors, or two main colors plus 3rd color contrasting edge on lower petals.

7 - 9 colors of 15/0 or 11/0 seed beads, depending on which color option you choose. About 8280 beads total.

The Iris needs no stiffening and the only wire is a single straight piece of floral wire inserted into the stem when the flower is finished.

Skills needed: Flat peyote stitch in even count and odd count, with increases. A little bit of circular peyote stitch with a step up. Ability to follow a detailed word chart.

Finished size approximately 3.5" (9 cm) in both height and width when made in 15/0 Miyuki seed beads. Approximately 4.75" (12 cm) in both height and width when made in 11/0 Miyuki seed beads.
