Pattern for a 3 dimensional kitty wearing a hat and sitting in a hat box. The kitty lifts off to open the box to keep your trinkets inside.

Detailed instructions including word charts, detail diagrams, and photographs illustrating progress along the way

20 pages, including the cover, includes instructions for kitty in either 15/0 OR 11/0 round seed beads with a hat box in two sizes, one to fit each kitty size, made with size 11 Delica beads.

Sized for 11/0 or 15/0 Miyuki round seed beads. Other brands of seed beads may not be the same dimensions or have a different length to width ratio which may distort the pattern slightly. Delica Cylinder beads are used for the hat box. Other brands of cylinder beads may be slightly different size but should also work.

10 colors of 15/0 or 11/0 round seed beads to make the kitty, the hat, and the hat embellishment. Approximately 3700 beads total.

5 colors of Delica cylinder beads to make the Hat Box. Approximately 2700 beads to fit the smaller size 15/0 kitty, or 4000 beads to fit the larger size 11/0 kitty.

Round black opaque glass beads for the eyes: 3 mm for 15/0, or 4 mm for 11/0

Stuffing material is used in the body.

Skills needed: Peyote stitch in the round, stepping up at the end of rows. Ability to start peyote stitch without a starter strip. Ability to follow a detailed word chart.

NOT a beginner's pattern. For the more intermediate to advanced level.

Finished size approximately 2 5/8" (67 mm) tall and 1 5/8" (41 mm) diameter, when made in 15/0 Miyuki round seed beads and size 11 Delica beads. Approximately 3 3/8" (8.6 cm) tall and 2" (5.1 cm) diameter when made in 11/0 Miyuki round seed beads and size 11 Delica beads.

The word chart is much more detailed than usual to keep the shape going perfectly.
