Sized for 15/0 Miyuki round seed beads, or 11/0 Miyuki round seed beads. Other brands of seed beads may not be the same dimensions or have a different length to width ratio which may distort the pattern slightly. Cylinder beads like Delicas will not work.

9 colors of 15/0 or 11/0 round seed beads plus 1 color of 11/0 or 8/0 for the claws

Skills needed: Peyote stitch in the round, stepping up at the end of rows, plus flat peyote in even count and odd count. Ability to start peyote stitch without a starter strip. Ability to follow a detailed word chart.

NOT a beginner's pattern. Advanced level.

Finished size approximately 5.5" (14 cm) tall when made in 15/0. Made in 11/0 would be about 7.5" (19 cm).

This is a very detailed complex pattern that requires close attention to increases and decreases to maintain the shape.

The word chart is much more detailed than usual to keep the shape going perfectly.
