Wings need to be sewn on, but legs and tail are integrated into the beadwork.

Sized for 11/0 or 15/0 Miyuki round seed beads. Other brands of seed beads may not be the same dimensions or have a different length to width ratio which may distort the pattern slightly. Cylinder beads like Delicas will not work well because of their flat sides.

6 colors of 15/0 or 11/0 round seed beads, plus red and green for optional accessories. Approximately 1500-2000 beads total depending on which accessories you include.

Round black opaque glass beads for the eyes: 3 mm for 15/0, or 4 mm for 11/0

Stuffing material is used in the body.

Skills needed: Peyote stitch in the round, stepping up at the end of rows. Ability to start peyote stitch without a starter strip. Ability to follow a detailed word chart.

For the intermediate or more advanced level.

Finished size approximately 2 1/16 (52 mm) tall without hat when made in 15/0. 2.25" (57 mm) with hat in 15/0. 2 5/8" (67 mm) tall without hat when made in 11/0. 3" (76 mm) tall with hat when made in 11/0.
