Sized for 15/0 OR 11/0 Miyuki round seed beads. Other brands of seed beads may not be the same dimensions or have a different length to width ratio which may distort the pattern slightly. Cylinder beads like Delicas will not work well because of the curved surfaces in the pattern and the more square shape of the cylinder beads.

10 colors of 15/0 or 11/0 round seed beads, plus cylinder beads for the fishing pole. Approximately 3900 beads total.

Eyes: 11/0 round seed beads if using 15/0, or 8/0 round seed beads if using 11/0

22 gauge wire for the fishing pole

Skills needed: Peyote stitch in the round, stepping up at the end of rows, plus flat peyote stitch in even count and odd count. Ability to start peyote stitch without a starter strip. Ability to follow a detailed word chart.

Intermediate level if you have some experience with the skills listed above.

Finished size approximately 2 5/8" (6.6 cm) to top of head when seated if made in 15/0. OR Approximately 3.75" (9.5 cm) to top of head when seated if made in 11/0.

This is a detailed pattern that requires close attention to increases and decreases to maintain the shape.

The word chart is much more detailed than usual to keep the shape going perfectly, but includes a detailed explanation of terms and abbreviations used.
